31 Things I Did with 31 Days Off of Work
Adobe grants all employees with a paid sabbatical every five years. I scheduled mine so that I would be away from work for the entire month of October. My plan included a lot of chores but also a lot of small activities that I enjoy. The goal was to focus on my mental and physical health by finishing some burdensome projects while making time for exercise and fun activities that I struggle to fit in to my normal schedule. So here are 31 of the highlights from my 31 days off.
1 - Started this online photo journal

2 - Upgraded my shed

3 - Donated blood

4 - Organized the garage... somewhat

5 - Handled some work for Dr. Martins

6 - Enjoyed an essential public service

7 - Blocked a road for Nossa Senhora de Fatima

8 - Watched a scary movie in a theater

He needed these trees for his Haunted Wax Museum exhibit,
so I taught him to build them.

10 - Saw a puppet show at Children's Fairyland

11 - Cheered for the only basketball team that matters

12 - Made holes in paper
13 - Witnessed Vogt's last home run (he retired afterwards)

14 - Got proof of my Portuguese citizenship

15 - Found a Jedi master

16 - Took a stroll through the Palace of Fine Arts

I finally took the time to detail my truck and clear out all the sand, spills, and footprints that the kids have left in it.

18 - Chaperoned a kindergarten field trip

19 - Admired a lake

20 - Spent a couple nights among the trees

21 - Received my E.U. passport

22 - Ate a wagyu tomahawk steak as big as my face

23 - Lost 12+ pounds and 2+ inches off my waist
24 - Visited the new pumpkin patch

25 - Taught my boys a new game
26 - Shattered some clay
27 - Took a scenic drive
28 - Played in the dirt

29 - Averaged 10k+ steps a day
